Who loves strawberries??? I love them the most. And apart from eating them raw, baking scones. I also love to eat this Strawberry shortcake Trifles.
This is one of the exotic desserts that I feel I missed before eating. And it is super simple to make.Includes a sweet vanilla cake, layers of fresh strawberries and fluffy whipped cream. These are served in the individual cups for a fun party or after dinner treat.
So let's see what are the ingredients required...
Firstly you need a shortcake layer, then whipped cream frosting, and of course strawberries...Thats it!!
Makes 2 glass cups
INGREDIENTS:
Leftover Shortcake / Chocolate Cake
Heavy Whipping cream 1/2 carton
Strawberries 10 to 15
Powdered sugar 1 cup +2 tsp
Vanilla 1tsp
INSTRUCTION:
1.Firstly Cut the pound cake/Chocolate cake into rounds using a cookie cutter..make sure it fits the glass jar in which you will be serving.
2.Now let's make the whipped cream frosting..- Place a medium-sized bowl (preferably metal) in the freezer for at least 10 minutes to chill.
- Once bowl has chilled, remove from freezer and add heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Using an electric mixer², beat ingredients on low speed, gradually increasing speed to high, and beat until stiff peaks form. Don't over-beat, but don't stop beating until cream has reached a thick, billowy consistency
3. Assembling Trifles
Firstly add a layer of whipped cream frosting in the glass in which you will serve this dessert. Then add a layer of cake , then some finely chopped strawberries...Repeat the same until you reach the top. Garnish with a cute little strawberry to give that beautiful aesthetician look and serve immediately.
4. Keep them in Refridgerator if you wish to make them in advance and serve it in the party later.
